Since he did not spare even his
own Son but gave him up for us all,
won't he also give us everything else?
Romans 8:32
In the midst of hearing this my mind automatically reverted to the scripture Matthew 6:25-32. It reads, “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs." How amazing is that?
Just like the buildings and homes that take over the fields that the deer graze upon, circumstances will arise in your life as well. The Bible says, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. It never said that it would never form but it did say that it would never prosper against you. There will be trials and tribulations that try your faith, but just like the deer it is important to remain in peace. The Bible says, You (God) will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you (Isaiah 26:3)!" When those circumstances arise begin to find scriptures to stand on to keep your faith rooted in him. Remember that God knows your end from your beginning (Isaiah 46:10). If you haven't realized it by now God cares about you so much. Continue to seek him in all you do and all things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). My prayer is that God will continue to tug at your heart and that you will want more of him. Remember that God so freely gave up his son to die on the cross for you. How much more will he freely give you all things?
