There is a right time for everything,
and everything on earth will happen at the right time.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
During my meditation time a question aroused in my heart. Why do we desire to rush time? We say things like, "I can't wait until I start making more money or I can't wait until it's time for me to get married." We even say things such as "I can't wait until the weekend." Why do we do that? Yes I know its only a figure of speech but some of us really desire to rush time. In a world where we are constantly wanting more, it's easy to become bombarded with the distraction of time. If you think about it, time is how we measure our entire day. From what time we're expected to be at work to the time we get off, we're constantly being pressed by time.
While meditating over this, I felt God say, "Stop trying to rush me. I am in control." As I puzzled over God telling me this He begin to remind me that He is God and God alone. He begin to remind me that He can do anything. He knows how to do what I desire and He knows when to do what I desire. You see we as people try to help God and we don't even realize it. "Well I'm going to put this little bug in this person's ear so they can do X,Y,& Z." No! If God wanted that person to do something in your life he would have him move. Take your hand off your life! I'm reminded of Matthew 16:24, “If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.” Jesus is telling us to give him full control over our lives. Stop trying to mulnuplate everything. Don't you know that God is the creator of time? So why are you so concern with it? He has made everything beautiful in his own time (Ecclesiastes 3:1). In always every scripture God associates doing something at "the right time." He doesn't do anything randomly. God does everything at just the right time. Time is defined as an opportune or suitable moment.
So don't become frustrated about the things you don't see in your life. Trust that God will do it at just the right time. See rushing things in your life can cause you to settle for less than God's best. I don't know about you, but I dread the day that I see my Father's face and He shows me all the great things He desperately wanted to give me, but because I rushed things and did things in my own will, I ended up with something He never intended to give me. I want to receive the great things He has. Not my will, but your will be done God! Lets stop rushing things in our lives and trust that God is in total control.
